Bing Ads launched two very handy tools today that make account analysis from within the web interface a reality.
The Dimensions Tab provides a shortcut to performing campaign analysis and includes access the fantastic Distribution graph. If you’re not using the distribution graph already, do yourself a favor and start. The graph is hidden at log-in, so you need to click on the orange arrow for it to display. From the Dimensions Tab, you can drill into a variety of “dimensions” including time, search terms, location, publisher website (complete with Syndicated Search Network partners), destination URLs and call details.
The Distribution Graph is what allows you to filter and drill into your data from the Dimensions Tab. There is a filter drop down customized by dimension (circled below), or simply hover over on any of the blue bars in the graphs.
The other tool that Bing Ads released is the Performance Comparison Graph that was announced last month. This is another much-needed addition to the web UI that allows users to compare performance by various time periods and date ranges. The gray weekend markers are very useful visual queues. Viewable from Campaigns and Ad Groups, the performance comparison graphs make it possible to view up to five different metrics at one time.
