Yahoo rolled out a newly designed search experience for iOS users today. According to the company, the new design mirrors the PC search update Yahoo launched earlier this year.
Now, instead of the previous Yahoo Search tabs, users on iOS mobile devices will see a navigation bar that disappears when a they begin to scroll. Yahoo says that links on the search page have been optimized so that they are easier to tap, and product images have been enlarged for easier viewing, with new sorting, filtering and viewing options to improve the shopping experience.
Other updates include a justified layout for image searches, with images in their original format and full aspect ratio, along with new local search filters, and the ability to sort local searches by best match, distance or ratings.
