Special Sessions At SMX Advanced

This is a special message for our
SearchCap newsletter
readers and anyone who visits Search
Engine Land
, regarding Search Engine Land’s first conference:
Search Marketing Expo
Advanced
. It happens in Seattle this June 4th and 5th. In this post, I
wanted to highlight some of the special sessions we’re doing at the show.

You&A With Matt Cutts
will start off the first day. Google’s Matt Cutts has
agreed to get up early and dive in with questions from the audience. That’s the
"You" part of "You&A," the audience driving where this session goes. Matt heads
Google’s web spam team, has been dealing with webmaster issues for Google since
2000 and is known to many through his
blog
. Now he’s Matt Unplugged, for
SMX Advanced.

Keynote Conversation With Satya Nadella
happens at the end of the first day.
Satya Nadella is Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s newly-created Search &
Advertising Platform Group. I’ll be talking with him about his new role and
plans for Windows Live Search and Microsoft adCenter.

Debate: Is Bid Management Dead?
happens in the morning of the second day. As
all the major search networks have shifted to using quality scoring, some have
wondered whether traditional bid management still has a future. Moderator
Jeffrey Rohrs has plotted out a traditional style debate, with statements,
counter-statements and rebuttals. The audience will take part in exploring the
issue after the debate, as well.

There are many more sessions beyond these, of course. Be sure to check out
the full
agenda,
and more is covered in these other special posts:
